From two boxes in Durban to a national yard.

In 2013, our founders were buying one-trip containers for a small storage business and kept running into the same problem: nobody could tell them what condition the container was in, when it would arrive, or what it would actually cost after “extras”. So they started importing their own.

Thirteen years later that obsession with straight answers is still how we work. We grade every unit by hand, still photograph the exact container a customer buys, and still quote delivery before you pay rather than after.

Much of our work today is conversions: site offices, ablution blocks, coffee kiosks, cold rooms and garden studios, all built in our own workshop by artisans who have been with us for years.

AAK Holdings starts as a two-person trading operation in Jacobs, Durban, importing one-trip 20ft containers.
